Messi Returns, but Inter Miami Held to Draw by Columbus Crew in MLS

Inter Miami missed the chance to claim all three points after being held to a 2-2 draw by Columbus Crew in their Major League Soccer (MLS) regular-season clash.
The biggest talking point of the evening was the long-awaited return of Lionel Messi. The Argentine superstar, who helped Inter Miami win last season's title, came off the bench in the 58th minute. Although his introduction lifted the home crowd, he was unable to make a decisive impact on the scoreline.
Instead, it was Luis Suárez who stole the spotlight. The experienced Uruguayan striker produced another influential display, scoring once and providing an assist for Allen as Inter Miami appeared to be in control.
However, Columbus Crew refused to back down. An unfortunate own goal by Casemiro, followed by a strike from Méndez, completed the visitors' comeback and secured a deserved 2-2 draw.
