Munich claimed a convincing 3-1 victory

Bayern Munich claimed a convincing 3-1 victory over RB Leipzig in a pre-season friendly, with the hosts producing an impressive attacking display at the Allianz Arena.

The Bundesliga champions took the lead after just 13 minutes. Luis Diaz pounced on a loose ball following a disrupted Leipzig clearance before calmly finding the far corner to make it 1-0.

RB Leipzig responded early in the second half. On 52 minutes, Antonio Nusa created space on the flank before the ball was delivered across the box, allowing Brajan Gruda to arrive at the far post and restore parity.

Parity lasted only five minutes, however. Bayern Munich quickly regained the lead when Lennart Karl was played through by Aleksandar Pavlovic and kept his composure in a one-on-one situation to make it 2-1.

The hosts then sealed the victory nine minutes from time. Jamal Musiala finished off a fine solo move after combining with new signing Assan Ouedraogo, completing a 3-1 win for Vincent Kompany's side.

The result was nevertheless overshadowed by a series of injury concerns for Bayern. Konrad Laimer, Kim Min-jae and Jamal Musiala were all forced to leave the pitch before the final whistle, leaving Kompany with plenty to consider despite the positive result.
