Sevilla - Atletico Madrid 1:3

Atletico Madrid secured an impressive 3-1 away victory over Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, putting the game largely beyond doubt before half-time with clinical finishing and ruthless attacking play.

Alex Baena opened the scoring just four minutes into the match, converting from a pass by Kang-in Lee to give the visitors an early advantage. Ademola Lookman then doubled Atletico Madrid's lead midway through the first half, finding the bottom corner with a composed finish.

The visitors delivered another blow just before the interval when Baena completed his brace with a superb strike from outside the penalty area. It was a spectacular finish that left Sevilla with a mountain to climb after a one-sided opening 45 minutes.

Sevilla responded strongly after the break, taking control of possession and putting the Atletico defence under sustained pressure. Their efforts eventually paid off when Miguel Sierra pulled one goal back with a well-taken finish.

But Atletico Madrid held firm when it mattered most. Jan Oblak produced another assured performance between the posts, while the visitors' defence stood up to Sevilla's late pressure to secure all three points.

The result underlines Atletico Madrid's efficiency in front of goal, while Alex Baena emerged as the decisive figure of the night with two outstanding finishes at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
