Historic Blow for Germany as Greece Claim First-Ever Win

Germany suffered a stunning 1-0 home defeat to Greece in the second round of the Nations League, with the result marking the first-ever victory for the Greeks against the German national team.
The history books had heavily favoured the Bundesliga giants before kick-off. In their previous 10 meetings, Germany had recorded seven wins and three draws against Greece. That unbeaten record finally came to an end in dramatic fashion.
Jürgen Klopp's side dominated large spells of the match and had enough opportunities to settle the contest before the visitors found their breakthrough. But Greece goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis produced a series of crucial saves, while the woodwork also came to Germany's rescue at key moments.
Then came the decisive moment in the 74th minute. Tzolas created the opening for Thanasis Kourbelis, who finished past Alexander Nübel to send the visiting supporters into celebration.
Germany pushed for an equaliser but could not find a way through, turning what had looked like a dominant performance into a night to forget.
