Germany finally have their first Nations League victory under Jurgen Klopp. The Bundesliga stars delivered a controlled 2-0 win over Serbia, with Florian Wirtz emerging as the decisive figure at the heart of both goals.

The breakthrough arrived in the 39th minute. Wirtz unleashed a powerful effort that struck the frame of the goal, but Nathan Bischof reacted quickest to the rebound and smashed the ball into the net to put Germany ahead.

Wirtz was not finished. The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder produced the moment of individual quality that sealed the points. After receiving a pass from Maximilian Mittelstädt, Wirtz brilliantly controlled the ball with his heel before firing past the Serbian goalkeeper.
