Portugal - Norway 2:1

Portugal booked their place in the Nations League quarter-finals with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Norway in Porto. The hosts secured qualification with a game to spare, overcoming the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo to demonstrate character and attacking quality under head coach Jorge Jesus.

Norway struck first in the 36th minute when Kristoffer Ajer produced a spectacular first-time finish into the far top corner. Portugal's response was immediate and equally impressive. Joao Cancelo produced a stunning strike of his own to bring the hosts level and send the home crowd into celebration.

After the break, Erling Haaland struggled to influence the game, seeing little of the ball before eventually being substituted. Portugal, meanwhile, continued to search for the decisive moment — and found it through the instinct of Goncalo Ramos.

In the 79th minute, Ramos reacted quickest to a clever knockdown from Joao Felix, finishing clinically to put Portugal in front. It was a striker's goal in every sense and proved enough to seal a memorable victory.

The closing stages brought unnecessary drama when Francisco Conceicao was sent off after sarcastically applauding the referee. However, the dismissal came too late to alter the outcome as Portugal held on for all three points.
