Romania, managed by Gheorghe Hagi, suffered another defeat in the Nations League as Sweden secured a narrow victory. The decisive moment came in the 13th minute when Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres found the net to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.

The goal was a landmark moment for the 28-year-old forward. Gyokeres has now scored in seven consecutive Nations League appearances, setting a new competition record and moving clear at the top of the all-time scoring streak list.

His latest strike also took his international tally to 25 goals for Sweden. That puts Gyokeres level with former Sweden striker Marcus Berg among the country's leading goalscorers, further underlining his growing importance to the national side.
