Manchester City - Ipswich Town 3:2

Manchester City edged past Ipswich Town 3-2 in the seventh round of the Premier League, setting a new club record in the process. The victory marked City's seventh consecutive win to start the season, a feat the club had never previously achieved.

Enzo Maresca also made history, becoming the first manager in Premier League history to begin his tenure at a new club with seven consecutive victories. The remarkable run has given Manchester City an early boost and fuelled debate over just how far this side can go.

Phil Foden found the net, while Erling Haaland delivered a decisive brace to secure all three points. Haaland's double took his tally to eight league goals, strengthening his position in the Premier League Golden Boot race.

However, the victory may have come at a cost. Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes were forced off before the final whistle with injuries, while Antoine Semenyo and Haaland appeared to be struggling physically as they finished the match. The extent of the injuries remains a concern for City's coaching staff ahead of a demanding run of fixtures.
