Rennes produced an impressive display of resilience to claim a valuable 2-2 draw away to Juventus in the third round of the UEFA Europa League. The French side showed real fighting spirit in Italy, battling back and standing firm under sustained pressure to take a precious point home to Brittany.

The hosts made a fast start, with Zeki Çelik opening the scoring early on. However, Rennes responded almost immediately as Mousa Al-Tamari found the net to bring the visitors level. The Breton side then turned the game on its head just before half-time, with Boulaye Dia putting the visitors in front.

Juventus stepped up the pressure after the break and eventually found a way back into the contest when Nick Woltemade converted a penalty to make it 2-2. The Turin side pushed for a late winner and appeared to have snatched all three points in the closing stages, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.
