Liverpool secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield, delivering two significant storylines in one result. Iraola celebrated his first home win in the Premier League, while Brighton’s impressive run of four consecutive league victories without conceding came to an end.

Florian Wirtz opened the scoring in the 17th minute, with his effort taking a deflection off Pascal Groß before finding the back of the net. Just four minutes later, Bradley Barcola made a decisive interception, won the race forward and set up Alexander Isak for a first-time finish to double Liverpool’s advantage at 2-0.

The victory provided a timely boost for Liverpool, lifting the Reds into the Premier League top four.
