Genoa produced a disciplined and pragmatic display to claim a deserved three points against Juventus, punishing their opponents' defensive weaknesses and keeping the visitors at bay throughout the contest. Despite an energetic start from the Turin side, inspired by Alaibegović, it was the hosts who struck first. In the 12th minute, Ekhizibue finished confidently to give Genoa an early advantage.

Juventus continued to leave significant gaps at the back, and Genoa took full advantage in the 28th minute. Baldanzi capped off an impressive solo move by Vitinha, beating Guglielmo Vicario to double the hosts' lead and leave the visitors facing an uphill battle.

Juventus attempted to change the course of the match after the break, introducing Woltemade and Žegrova in search of a more incisive attacking threat. However, the substitutions failed to inject the necessary creativity or urgency into the visitors' play. Genoa remained organised, defended resolutely and managed the closing stages with composure to secure an impressive victory.
