Adrian Kempe made an emphatic return to action, scoring a hat-trick and adding an assist as the Los Angeles Kings cruised to a 7-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks. Kempe had missed Saturday’s defeat to Buffalo through illness, but wasted no time making his presence felt. The Swedish forward recorded the fifth hat-trick of his NHL career in a dominant performance.

Another standout display came from Sandis Vilmanis, who contributed two goals and two assists to help the Florida Panthers overcome the struggling Chicago Blackhawks 5-3.

Meanwhile, Matty Beniers proved to be the hero for the Seattle Kraken, scoring just 55 seconds into overtime to secure a 2-1 victory over the Calgary Flames.
