Marseille claimed a crucial victory away from home against Bayer Leverkusen, securing their first win in the Europa League and breathing new life into their hopes of reaching the knockout stages. In a fiercely contested encounter, the decisive moment came courtesy of a brilliant individual effort from Amine Gouiri.

The breakthrough arrived in the 77th minute. Gouiri burst forward down the left flank, drove into the opposition penalty area and unleashed a powerful right-footed strike that left Bayer goalkeeper Mark Flekken with no chance.
