Benfica continued their impressive run in the Europa League, recording a fourth consecutive victory in the league phase with a 3-1 win over Polish side Lech Poznań at the Estádio da Luz. The Lisbon giants collected all three points thanks in part to an outstanding contribution from Ukrainian midfielder Georgiy Sudakov, who registered both a goal and an assist.

Rafa Silva got the hosts off to a flying start, opening the scoring in just the sixth minute. Benfica maintained their advantage until the 67th minute, when Giovanni Prestianni doubled their lead with Sudakov providing the assist.

Lech refused to surrender and gave themselves renewed hope when Leo Bengtsson pulled one back in the 72nd minute. However, Benfica had the final say. In the 90th minute, Sudakov capped an excellent performance by finding the net himself to seal a 3-1 victory.
