Carlos Soler joins Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain are delighted to announce the signing of Spain international Carlos Soler. The attacking midfielder joins from Valencia CF, signing with the capital club through to 2027.

Valencia born, Carlos joined his hometown club’s youth academy in 2005, establishing himself in junior sides before joining the first-team squad in the 2015/16 season.

Carlos Soler made his debut with Blanquinegros in La Liga against Real Sociedad on 10 December 2016. He went on to play 226 games (36 goals, 31 assists), winning the Copa del Rey in 2019 thanks to a 2-1 win over FC Barcelona.

Having made his international debut with Spain’s U19 team, he won the U21 EURO in 2019 having reached the final in 2017. He then played in seven games at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, winning a silver medal. The midfielder was subsequently called up to the senior squad, making his debut on 2 September 2021 against Sweden. He currently has nine caps and three goals for La Roja.
