Ex-Shakhtar player Douglas Costa has left LA Galaxy

The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has parted ways with Designated Player Douglas Costa.
“We’d like to thank Douglas for his contributions to the LA Galaxy,” said LA Galaxy Head Coach and Sporting Director Greg Vanney. “We wish him and his family the best in the next step of his career.”
Costa recorded eight goals and 12 assists in 51 appearances (36 starts) across all competitions in two seasons played for the LA Galaxy (2022-23). During the 2023 MLS Regular Season, Costa notched three goals and led the Galaxy with 10 assists in 19 games played (15 starts).
