Report: Sudakov signed a new contract with release clause of more than €100m

The player has decided to stay at Shakhtar

According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Shakhtar midfielder Georgiy Sudakov signed a new long-term contract with the club.

The player could have left the Miners during this transfer window, however the Donetsk club refused to let their midfielder join Napoli for 40 million euros. Today it has become known that Sudakov has decided to stay at Shakhtar.

“New deal will be valid until June 2029,” reports Fabrizio Romano. “Understand it will include release clause worth more than €100m”

The insider also expressed confidence that Sudakov could still leave Shakhtar, however only in the next transfer window.

“One to watch in the summer, top talent on list of many clubs,” Romano writes on X.com.

In 2023 Georgiy Sudakov played 38 official matches for Shakhtar (7 goals, 6 assists).
