Schalke is close to the relegation zone

Two matches of the 13th round of the 2nd Bundesliga took place today.

Championship leaders St Pauli hosted Hannover and was unable to translate their advantage into at least one goal - 0:0.

Schalke suffered their eighth defeat of the season, unable to continue their winning streak. Karel Gererts' team lost at home to Elversberg - 1:2. In the 2nd Bundesliga standings Schalke are in 15th place - dangerously close to the relegation zone.
