Ukrainian First League: Karpaty in the lead, Metalist concedes in the 93rd minute
Karpaty continue to confidently lead in Group A of the Ukrainian First League. In the match against Podillya, Myron Markevich's team opened the scoring in the 49th minute: after a corner kick from the right, Veklyak headed the ball into the goal. The hosts could have escaped defeat with their last free kick, but Andriy Kozhukhar played brilliantly, stopping the ball in the corner.
A similar scenario occurred in the Metalist - Niva (Buzova) match. The hosts took the lead in the 56th minute when Dihtyar crossed from a set-piece from the left, and Ryazantsev scored. But unlike the match in Khmelnitsky, Niva equalized the score in the last attack - Dvorovenko scored in the third minute of injury time.
