Ukrainian Serhiy Kulish showed a second result in rifle shooting, winning a silver medal. This is the country's second medal after saber player Olga Harlan's bronze.

Kulish ended his shooting with a score of 461.3, losing to the Chinese Olympic champion Liu Yukun by a little more than two points - 463.6. Indian Swapnil Kusale showed the third result.

The competition format required athletes to complete three sets of five shots in two positions.

Serhii Kulish is one of the notable characters in world shooting. He won a silver medal in Rio 2016, although in a different discipline - 10 meters.
