The new season in the UPL started in Rivne

The new season in the UPL started in Rivne at the Avangard stadium with the match Veres - Karpaty.

The game ended without goals, although Veres had several chances to score. In the 12th minute, after Dakhnovsky’s strike, Kemkin saved the visitors. After another 12 minutes, Veres ran into a 2v2 counterattack, however Sharai shot very poorly at Baboglo.

After the break, Kemkin gave the hosts a chance to open the scoring, but Iago, after a pass from Stepanyuk, fired a shot high over the crossbar. At the end of the match, Kostenko was sent off for a second yellow card, but Veres simply did not have the strength left for the decisive attack.
