Seventh medal for Ukraine

Ilya Kovtun won the seventh medal for Ukraine at the 2024 Olympics. And the only one in sports gymnastics.

Kovtun was second in parallel bars, second only to China's Zhu Jinyan. Bronze was won by Oka Shinnosuke from Japan.

Unfortunately, the second Ukrainian in sports gymnastics, Oleg Vernyaev, made a gross mistake during one of the elements and finished last.
