Leipzig ends Bayer's great streak: All Goals & Highlights
Bayer Leverkusen's unbeaten streak is finally over. In May, Xabi Alonso's team suffered their first defeat in the European arena in a year, losing to Atalanta in the Europa League final, and today they lost in the Bundesliga for the first time in 15 months.
The champions were defeated by RB Leipzig after an outstanding comeback. The Red Bulls lost head coach Marco Rose due to the sending off and were losing 0-2, but were able to find the strength to turn the game around. Kampl pulled one goal back before the break, as in the second half Lois Openda got three points for his team, scoring a brace.
