Vinicius Junior

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior is reportedly set to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or, according to sources from Marca. The 24-year-old standout is among the leading contenders for the prestigious accolade and has been informed that he will claim the title at the forthcoming award ceremony.

Vinicius Junior's projected win reinforces Real Madrid's continued prominence in the awards scene. Last season, Vinicius contributed significantly to the club’s success, securing three major titles, including the La Liga championship, the Champions League, and the Supercopa de España. Vinicius recorded 24 goals and 11 assists across 39 appearances in all competitions. With Lionel Messi being an exception, Real Madrid has dominated the Ballon d’Or since 2008 with past winners like Luka Modric, Karim Benzema, and five-time recipient Cristiano Ronaldo all earning the honor.

The 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony is scheduled for October 28th at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
