Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal has undergone surgery following a serious injury, the club confirmed in an official statement. The 31-year-old defender suffered multiple ligament and tendon ruptures, including a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), an external collateral ligament tear, and a ruptured popliteal tendon in his right leg.

Carvajal is expected to begin his rehabilitation in the coming days, with a recovery period estimated to last between eight and ten months.

Before the injury, Carvajal had made 11 appearances for Real Madrid across all competitions, registering one goal and one assist. His absence will be a huge blow for Carlo Ancelotti’s side as they push for success in both La Liga and the Champions League.
