The Catalan club has officially announced that the teenage sensation has signed a new long-term contract

There’s no place like home — and for Lamine Yamal, that home is FC Barcelona. The Catalan club has officially announced that the teenage sensation has signed a new long-term contract, keeping him at Barça until 2031.

The 17-year-old wonderkid has already made a staggering impact at the senior level, with 106 appearances, 25 goals, and 34 assists for the club. Despite persistent transfer rumours linking him with a big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain, Yamal has made it clear: his future lies at the Spotify Camp Nou.

A two-time La Liga champion and a UEFA Euro winner with Spain, Yamal is widely considered the heir to Lionel Messi’s legacy at Barcelona. Under new head coach Hansi Flick, the young forward delivered a phenomenal 2024/25 campaign — netting 18 goals and providing 25 assists in just 55 matches.
