Ancelotti: Modrić is still a fantastic footballer
On the eve of the match in Vigo, Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti marked his 200th La Liga match in charge. The Italian celebrated this milestone with a 2-1 victory.
"We got three important points thanks to a fantastic pass from Modrić. He always contributes and helps, whether he starts or comes off the bench. His quality is very important to us. He changed the pace of the game and was very important," the coach said.

It’s worth noting that in the match against Celta, Modrić not only became Real Madrid’s new record holder, but also set up Vinícius’ winning goal.
“There is not much more to add. He's still a fantastic footballer. He's not a child. He's an extraordinary professional, who works very hard. He's a very calm man with character. It is and has been a good thing for Real Madrid to have a player like him,” added the legendary coach, reflecting on his work with the 39-year-old Croatian.
