FC Barcelona has moved to quell speculation regarding the future of goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, confirming that they will not seek a replacement despite the German's season-ending injury.

"Ter Stegen remains our priority, and he is under contract with the club for the next three years," said Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco. "We will not be signing anyone to replace him."

Recent rumors suggested that Porto and Portugal national team goalkeeper Diogo Costa was being considered as a potential signing. However, Deco dismissed these reports, stating:

"If I were Diogo Costa, I’m not sure I would join Barcelona as a backup. And to be clear, we are not working on signing him."
