Netherlands captain Virgil van Dijk shared his thoughts after the Oranje's emphatic 4-0 victory over Hungary in the UEFA Nations League. The win marked only their second triumph in this season's campaign, but it showcased their growing cohesion under head coach Ronald Koeman.

"When we played Hungary away, we often tried to go through the middle, and it didn't always work," van Dijk explained. "Tonight, we made better use of the flanks. Winning by four goals and keeping a clean sheet is always satisfying."

However, the Liverpool defender was quick to acknowledge areas for improvement: "There are always things we can do better. We lost the ball too often, and our defensive line shifted out of position at times. But ultimately, we deserved the win."

Van Dijk emphasized the team's progress: "We're still growing as a team. There are phases in matches where we control possession very well. Perhaps we need to play more compact at times, but at the end of the day, the result is what matters. And when you win 4-0, there's nothing to complain about."
