Champions League Blow: Vinícius Jr. to Miss Liverpool Clash
Vinícius Júnior, one of Real Madrid’s attacking stars, is set to miss approximately three weeks due to injury, according to an official statement from the club.
The Brazilian forward sustained a left biceps femoris muscle injury during the 3-0 La Liga victory against Leganés. Although he completed the match, subsequent assessments confirmed the need for a recovery period.
During his absence, Vinícius will miss several crucial fixtures, including the high-profile Champions League showdown against Liverpool on Wednesday, November 27. Additionally, he will be unavailable for the upcoming La Liga matches against Getafe (December 1), Athletic Bilbao (December 4), Girona (December 7), and Rayo Vallecano (December 14). The forward is also ruled out of Real Madrid’s second Champions League group stage clash with Atalanta on December 10.
In the current season, Vinícius has been in sensational form, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists in 18 appearances across all competitions. His absence will undoubtedly be a significant challenge for Carlo Ancelotti’s squad as they navigate a demanding fixture schedule.
