Frank Lampard to Take Over at Coventry City
Former Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is set to become the new manager of Coventry City following the surprise dismissal of Mark Robins.
Lampard, who previously managed Derby County in the Championship, guided them to the playoff final in 2019. The 46-year-old has been out of management since leaving Chelsea as interim boss at the end of the 2022–2023 season. However, he has expressed his desire to return to coaching when the right opportunity arises.
Coventry are struggling in the Championship this season, currently sitting in 17th place, just two points clear of the relegation zone. Their latest setback came on Tuesday night with a 0-2 defeat to Burnley.
Taking over Coventry offers Lampard a fresh challenge as he looks to rebuild his managerial career.
