Bayer knocked Bayern out of the DFB Pokal after Neuer's red card
Manuel Neuer's mistake led to Bayern ending their participation in the 2024/25 DFB Pokal.
The Munich goalkeeper run out of the penalty area in the 17th minute of the game and crashed into Frimpong before immediately seeing a red card. Playing with ten men, Kompany's side were unable to stop the reigning Cup winners, eventually conceding the decisive goal in the second half when Tella headed the ball into the net.
