Thomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel has officially begun his tenure as the head coach of the England national team. Although his contract was signed back in October 2024, it stipulated that his first official day would be January 1, 2025.

The English Football Association (FA) marked the occasion with a celebratory post on social media. "Work begins now. Thomas Tuchel's role as Three Lions head coach has officially begun," read a message from the FA’s official account on x.com.

Tuchel succeeds Gareth Southgate, who managed the team for seven years, leading England to two European Championship finals. Now, the German tactician takes over with the goal of elevating England to even greater heights.

In the qualification campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, England will compete in Group K alongside Serbia, Albania, Latvia, and Andorra. The group presents a strong opportunity for Tuchel to begin his England journey on a high note.
