Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo is eager to play in the expanded FIFA Club World Cup this summer and may consider a move to another club in Saudi Arabia to make that dream a reality.

According to AS, Ronaldo has requested a meeting with Al-Nassr’s management to discuss his future. While the Portuguese star has often expressed his loyalty to Al-Nassr, the club’s absence from the Club World Cup has prompted speculation about a potential transfer. Al-Hilal, another Saudi Pro League club and a participant in the tournament, is reportedly interested in signing Ronaldo and has made him a contract offer.

Ronaldo’s current deal with Al-Nassr expires this summer, and as of January 1, he is legally allowed to negotiate with other clubs. Despite his commitment to helping Al-Nassr achieve domestic success—something he has yet to accomplish—his desire to compete on a global stage might take precedence.

At 39, Ronaldo remains a pivotal figure in football, and a move to Al-Hilal could provide him with the opportunity to leave an indelible mark on the inaugural expanded FIFA Club World Cup.
