With over a dozen top European clubs monitoring Dani Olmo’s situation, the player’s agent has made it clear that the Spanish midfielder remains fully committed to Barcelona, despite the club’s current inability to register him for the second half of the La Liga season.

"I can confirm out position has not changed. We are not negotiating with any club," said Olmo’s agent, Andy Bara, as quoted by insider Fabrizio Romano. "Dani is Barça player and he wants to be a Barça player, he did big efforts in his life to be at Barcelona. It was his desire for long time. Other options or clubs? Barcelona is the FIRST and LAST option. Dani, his father, family, me… we’re not thinking about other options."

2024-25 La Liga Standings

The Spanish Football Federation has denied Barcelona permission to register Olmo for the second half of the 2024/25 season, adding to the club’s ongoing administrative struggles.

Despite the off-field complications, the 26-year-old attacking midfielder has been productive in his first season at the Camp Nou. He has made 15 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing one assist. Olmo’s contract with Barcelona runs until June 30, 2030, and his market value is estimated at €60 million, according to Transfermarkt.

While other clubs remain interested, it seems clear that both Olmo and his representatives are determined to resolve his future within the Catalan side.
