Barcelona secured a thrilling 5-4 victory over Benfica in the seventh round of the UEFA Champions League group stage, with Robert Lewandowski netting a crucial brace for the Catalans.

Following the dramatic encounter, the Polish striker shared his thoughts on the hard-fought win:

“Today, we gave Benfica three goals, but in the end, the team that scores more wins. We need to improve both defensively and offensively. Something is still missing, and we must focus on addressing these issues. I believe today's victory can boost our confidence for the remainder of the season, but we must analyze where we can improve. In the future, we need to control the game with more authority,” Lewandowski said.

Despite their defensive struggles, Barcelona currently sits in second place in the overall UEFA Champions League standings with 15 points after seven rounds.

In the final match of the group stage, the Catalans will face Atalanta on January 29, aiming to secure their place in the knockout stages with a more composed performance.
