Jannik Sinner has successfully defended his title at the Australian Open, clinching his first Grand Slam of 2025 with a commanding straight-sets victory over Alexander Zverev. The Italian star triumphed with a scoreline of 6-3, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, showcasing his dominance on the Rod Laver Arena.

The much-anticipated showdown between the world's top two players was dictated by Sinner’s precise and composed game. Despite Zverev's powerful serve, the Italian held his ground, not conceding a single break point throughout the match. He, however, capitalized on crucial moments, securing breaks in the first and third sets.

One of the key factors in Sinner’s victory was his ability to force errors from his opponent, with Zverev committing an alarming 45 unforced errors in the final.

At just 23 years old, Sinner has now claimed his third Grand Slam title, adding the 2025 Australian Open to his growing collection, which already includes triumphs at the 2024 US Open and last year’s Australian Open. This latest victory solidifies his position at the top of men's tennis and sets the stage for another thrilling season ahead.
