The win also came with a record-breaking $5 million prize

Carlos Alcaraz has captured his second career title at the US Open, defeating long-time rival Jannik Sinner in a high-quality final at Flushing Meadows.

The 22-year-old Spaniard triumphed with a scoreline of 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in a match that lasted 2 hours and 44 minutes. It was the 15th meeting between the two young stars — and once again, it was Alcaraz who came out on top, securing his 10th win over the Italian, underlining his dominance in one of the sport's most compelling modern rivalries.

With this victory, Alcaraz claimed his sixth Grand Slam title, his second in New York, and his second major of 2025 after winning Roland Garros earlier this year. The win also came with a record-breaking $5 million prize — the largest paycheck in tennis history.
