The dismissal of Nuri Şahin< and the appointment of Niko Kovač as head coach has yet to yield positive results

The dismissal of Nuri Şahin and the appointment of Niko Kovač as head coach has yet to yield positive results for Borussia Dortmund. In the 21st round of the Bundesliga, Dortmund suffered a 1-2 defeat at home to Stuttgart.

The visitors took the lead in the 50th minute when Anton inadvertently scored an own goal following a cross from Führich. Just 12 minutes later, Chabot doubled Stuttgart’s advantage with a precise finish after a pass from Leweling.

Dortmund had a chance to pull one back when Bynoe-Gittens forced a save from Stuttgart goalkeeper Nübel, but the hosts eventually scored in the 81st minute through Julian Brandt. However, it wasn’t enough to salvage a result.

With this win, Stuttgart moves into the Champions League qualification zone, while Dortmund languishes in 11th place.
