Xabi Alonso Sets Another Bundesliga Record
If Real Madrid doesn’t come calling, Xabi Alonso is on track to shatter every record in the Bundesliga. The latest milestone came after Bayer Leverkusen's 2-0 victory over Holstein Kiel, extending their unbeaten away run to an incredible 28 matches—a new record in the league's history.
Goals from Patrik Schick and Amine Adli secured the three points for Leverkusen, but it was Florian Wirtz who once again stole the spotlight. The 21-year-old playmaker notched his 10th assist of the season, marking the second consecutive campaign he has reached this milestone. The only other player in Europe’s top leagues to achieve this feat is Mohamed Salah of Liverpool.
