Bayern Munich sealed a resounding 5–0 aggregate triumph over Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. After a 3–0 rout at the Allianz Arena, the Bavarians claimed a 2–0 away victory, courtesy of a goal and an assist from Harry Kane.

With Florian Wirtz missing for Bayer Leverkusen, the hosts struggled to threaten at the attacking end. The visitors, led by Harry Kane and Joshua Kimmich, were clinical. On 52 minutes, Kimmich delivered an inch-perfect long ball into the penalty area, allowing Harry Kane to glide in behind a bewildered Lukáš Hrádecký and tap it home.

That strike marked the 10th goal in this season’s UEFA Champions League for Harry Kane, making him the first Englishman to reach double figures in a single campaign. The England captain wasn’t done there, spotting the run of Alphonso Davies soon after and laying off a perfect pass for the Canadian full-back to slot in a second goal.

Jamal Musiala came close to adding to the scoreline on two occasions, rattling the woodwork twice. Meanwhile, Harry Kane narrowly missed out on a one-on-one opportunity. As for Bayer Leverkusen, their Champions League journey came to a halt, leaving Bayern Munich firmly on course for European glory.
