The Chelsea winger has been sidelined since November

Ukraine national team head coach Serhiy Rebrov addressed the absence of Mykhailo Mudryk during a press conference ahead of their upcoming match against Belgium. The Chelsea winger has been sidelined since November after testing positive for a banned substance, leaving a significant void in the Ukrainian squad.

"We all support Mykhailo. He is a young and important player for the national team. I wish him only a speedy return to football," said Rebrov, emphasizing the team's solidarity with the 22-year-old.

Regarding the upcoming match, Rebrov revealed that the coaching staff has experimented with several options to fill Mudryk's position. "For tomorrow's game, we have tried a few different solutions for Mudryk's role. For us, only the first half matters right now, but it's also crucial how we perform in the second half in Genk," he added, hinting at the team's tactical adjustments.

The situation remains tense for Mudryk, as a second positive doping test could result in a suspension of up to four years, effectively halting his promising career.
