2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Colombia and Paraguay Share Four Goals in Barranquilla Draw
Colombia and Paraguay played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in Barranquilla as both teams continue their push for a place at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The hosts, still chasing their first win in the last four qualifiers, went ahead through Luis Díaz and Jhon Durán, but were twice pegged back by goals from Álexis Alonso and Julio Enciso.
Despite plenty of attacking quality on display, both sides lacked consistency in the final third and had to settle for a point apiece – a result that keeps them mid-table in the South American qualifying standings.
Argentina remains the only CONMEBOL nation to have officially booked its ticket to the 2026 World Cup.
