Osasuna - Girona 2:1

Girona FC, featuring Ukrainian international Viktor Tsygankov, are spiraling dangerously close to the relegation zone after a ninth consecutive La Liga match without victory. The Catalan side has managed just three points from a possible 27 — a dramatic collapse in form that’s seen them plummet to 16th place in the table.

On Matchday 31, Girona suffered a 2-1 defeat away to Osasuna. Croatian striker Ante Budimir and Pablo Ibáñez found the net for the hosts, before Ásparilla scored a consolation goal in the sixth minute of stoppage time — moments after coming on as a substitute.

Viktor Tsygankov started the match for Girona but was replaced in the 51st minute, as the visitors struggled to generate any consistent attacking threat.

The result leaves Girona just five points clear of 18th — the first spot that guarantees relegation to the Segunda División for the 2025–26 season. With form dwindling and pressure mounting, the club must find answers quickly to avoid being dragged into a full-blown survival battle.
