Goretzka becomes the seventh first-team player to be ruled out through injury

Bayern Munich have been dealt yet another injury setback, with Leon Goretzka expected to miss Saturday’s Bundesliga clash against Heidenheim, according to German outlet TZ.

The Germany international reportedly suffered a bruised calf muscle and has now joined a growing list of sidelined stars at the Allianz Arena. Goretzka becomes the seventh first-team player to be ruled out through injury.

The current Bayern injury list includes: Manuel Neuer (calf), Dayot Upamecano (knee), Tarek Buchmann (shoulder), Alphonso Davies (knee), Hiroki Ito (foot), and Jamal Musiala (hamstring).

Despite the mounting fitness issues, Kompany’s side remain top of the Bundesliga, holding a six-point lead over second-placed Bayer Leverkusen with just five matches left in the season.
