The result leaves Wolfsburg sitting 12th in the Bundesliga standings

VfL Wolfsburg and TSG Hoffenheim played out an entertaining 2-2 draw on Matchday 33 of the Bundesliga, with both sides showing moments of brilliance but ultimately settling for a point each at the Volkswagen Arena.

Wolfsburg entered the match free from relegation concerns, with their place in the league all but secured. For Hoffenheim, however, the stakes were much higher, as they continue their battle to avoid the drop with just one round of fixtures remaining.

The hosts struck first when Hoffenheim defender Leo Østigård accidentally put the ball into his own net. The visitors, unfazed, found an equaliser through experienced full-back Pavel Kadeřábek. Wolfsburg regained the lead via a clinical finish from Danish striker Jonas Wind, but Hoffenheim once again clawed their way back into the game thanks to a goal from Marius Bülter.

The result leaves Wolfsburg sitting 12th in the Bundesliga standings, while Hoffenheim remain in 14th place—still not entirely safe as the season nears its dramatic conclusion.
