Hansi Flick has not yet signed a new deal with Barcelona

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has confirmed that he has not yet signed a new deal with the club, despite recent reports suggesting an extension may be close.

The German manager was spotted dining with Barça president Joan Laporta and agent Pini Zahavi on Sunday evening — a meeting that fuelled rumours of an imminent agreement. However, Flick insists there is nothing official at this stage.

“Not the Right Time to Talk About It”

“Now is not the time to speak about that,” Flick told reporters. “As I’ve said before, I still have one year left on my contract, and I’m in no rush. Yes, we had dinner with the president, and it was a good evening — but it wasn’t planned or anything formal.”

“I’ve said many times I’m happy here. But there is no new contract. Nothing has been agreed yet. We just need to wait — and I’m comfortable with that.”

Focus on Finishing Strong

With three games left in the season, Flick emphasized that his focus is entirely on the pitch. “I told the team today: We’re here to win. We must respect the club, the opponents, and our supporters. There’s no room for distractions. We must remain committed.”

Extension Still Expected?

Flick’s current deal runs through 2026, but reports in Spain suggest Barcelona are looking to add an additional year, extending his tenure through 2027. The club is believed to be satisfied with his leadership and long-term project — but for now, any renewal remains on hold.
