Germany are facing a striker crisis

Germany are facing a striker crisis just two weeks before the UEFA Nations League Final Four, with both Tim Kleindienst and Kai Havertz ruled out of the semi-final clash against Portugal on June 4 due to injury.

Kleindienst, who had a standout season with Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Havertz, the versatile Arsenal forward, have been forced to withdraw from Julian Nagelsmann’s squad, leaving the Bundesliga giants short of firepower ahead of a crucial showdown.

In response, reports suggest that Nagelsmann will recall veteran striker Niclas Füllkrug. The 31-year-old, currently at West Ham United, has struggled for form this season—scoring just 3 goals and providing 2 assists in 19 appearances across all competitions. However, his physical presence and international experience may prove vital in a high-stakes tournament.

The Nations League Final Four will be hosted in Germany from June 4 to 8, with matches taking place in Munich and Stuttgart. The second semi-final features a heavyweight clash between Spain and France.
