The win marks Norris’ second of the season and arguably the most prestigious of his young career

Lando Norris secured his first-ever victory at the iconic Monaco Grand Prix, delivering a flawless drive from lights to flag in a race that saw minimal drama but maximum strategic execution.

Behind the wheel of his McLaren, the Briton fended off constant pressure from Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari, never putting a foot wrong around the notoriously unforgiving streets of Monte Carlo. The win marks Norris’ second of the season and arguably the most prestigious of his young career.

The race itself was typically processional, with overtaking opportunities few and far between — even by Monaco standards. The real action, as often in the principality, was spotted in the grandstands, packed with A-list celebrities and sporting icons.

Oscar Piastri completed a strong weekend for McLaren by finishing third, comfortably ahead of Max Verstappen, who struggled to make an impact and crossed the line in fourth. Lewis Hamilton rounded out the top five in what was a quiet race for Mercedes.

With this win, Norris narrows the gap to championship leader Piastri to just three points, setting up an intriguing mid-season title battle. Verstappen, now 22 points behind the leader, sits third in the Drivers’ Standings, with work to do if he hopes to reclaim the top spot.
