F1: Verstappen Dominates in Vegas as Norris Moves Within Reach of the Title

Max Verstappen delivered another masterclass under the lights of Las Vegas, claiming victory at the Las Vegas Grand Prix — the 69th win of his illustrious Formula 1 career.
Lando Norris, who started from pole, stumbled in the very first corner, surrendering his position not only to Verstappen but also to George Russell of Mercedes. Norris managed to recover later in the race, overtaking Russell in the second stint, but the gap to Verstappen was simply insurmountable. The Dutchman, driving for Red Bull Racing, never put a wheel wrong as he powered to another dominant win.
Oscar Piastri finished fourth, a result that all but extinguishes his faint hopes of catching Norris in the overall standings. The sensation of the night, however, was young Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who stormed from 17th on the grid to a stunning fifth place — and that despite serving a five-second penalty for a false start.
The championship battle now heads into a potentially decisive weekend. With Norris extending his lead to 40 points, the next race could seal the title fight.
